A Wrinkle In Time

Title: A Wrinkle In Time
Year: 2018

Artistic Quality

There are very few movies I have seen in the last 10 years that made me want to jump into the movie. But ‘A Wrinkle in Time’, did just that.

My personal morality dictates championing certain activities and ethics. This movie is suprisingly congruent with those.

As a person that suffers from depression, but is also a person whom follows their own whims, be it in art, or music, or though, a lot of this movie resonated deeply. And where some movies of this ilk may devolve from self-empowerment, to self-involvement, and I was pleasantly suprised at how well this movie stayed on focus.

So Ethics / Morality wise, I really really appreciate this movie. It’s a parable that can easily be applied to real life. And that is something I value in art.

From a film standpoint, It’s just a great movie as well. Very well put together, I never found myself bored, it had a great balance of humour, effects, drama, etc. Ultimately, as a film, it did what it had to do to deliver the message and story, well, in an entertaining way.

I highly recommend this movie.
