These are speakers, they sound like speakers. I bought them on the recommendation of Stereophile magazine, and yeah, I don’t think they were that great.

They were OK. Decent. Perfectly fine for casual listening.

Maybe the stereophile folks had forgotten people make speakers for less than $10k a pair, and seeing these, were astounded that sound could be reproduced from such inexpensive bits of wood and paper? I dunno.

I bought a pair a couple years later as well. Ultimately didn’t keep either pair.
