I really like these on bass guitar, and electric guitar. And if a Hardy M1 isn’t available, on drums as well.

They have a very forward sound to them. And can be aggressive. They also do something odd to bass frequencies, makeing boomy stuff manageable, and tucking everything else, so they sound a little bright, but not in a brittle kind of way. Hence the ‘Forward’ description.

However, the thought of recording a vocal with these, or having these on every channel like an API board would have: not into that. A little goes a long way.

Ultimately, I’ve generally rented these or borrowed from a friend, but I wouldn’t buy these.
